I. Department Overview

The Department of Accounting of Shenzhen University, founded in 1985, is recognized as a specialty department in Guangdong province. After three decades, it has formed a relatively complete talent training system, offering programs of academic master's, professional master's, undergraduate (including ACCA) and continuing education for top-up degree. The Department has 24 full-time teachers, including 4 professors, 8 associate professors and 12 lecturers, most of whom have doctoral degrees.

II. Undergraduate Education

Training Objectives

The Department of Accounting is committed to training top-notch professionals in accounting and related fields to meet the needs of socio-economic and industrial development who:

1. Have a sense of social responsibility, adhere to the ethics of accounting profession, and consciously take into account the influence of laws, regulations, professional standards, environment and sustainability in their professional practice;

2. Have a solid professional foundation and profound knowledge integration capability, be adaptive to the evolution of accounting profession, keep up with the forefront of professional knowledge, develop innovative thinking and awareness, and be able to provide reasonable analytics and solutions for complex accounting problems;

3. Develop the ability to engage in accounting, auditing & assurance, financial management and other professional activities as well as primary scientific research in positions related to accounting.

4. Are physically and mentally healthy with high humanistic literacy, be able to conduct effective communication and expression in professional practice, and be collaborative in teamwork;

5. Develop an international perspective, awareness for innovation and rules, as well as the ability to adapt to the ever-changing professional practice environment through active learning.
